Musical Theatre Fundamentals will train students to be prepared for the world of musical theatre performance and auditions. Students will work closely with a professional Musical Theatre actor and teacher, in a small classroom setting. Over the six weeks, students will gain all of the tools needed for the professional world and will have the opportunity to put these lessons to use in a final showcase performance.
Leading up to this showcase, students will learn the fundamentals of Musical Theatre dance and movement, and vocal performance. In addition, students will create their own "rep" (repertoire) book to bring to auditions which has been tailored to their strengths as a performer.
This class is an ideal fit for anyone who is looking to sharpen their skills as a triple threat; actor, singer, and dancer!
Requirements: jazz or ballet shoes; clothing appropriate for movement and choreography, a 3-ring binder, pencil and water bottle
